The Knight of Ren wasn’t exactly in a good mood, he might have been trusted by Lord Ren, but that didn’t mean that would keep him out of his fits. Nor, did it actually mean that it would prevent Kader from actually walking in on Kylo’s fits, but it was a risk he had to take from time to time.
Yet, today, it was more that he couldn’t avoid walking into it, and he learned his lesson —- getting force choked wasn’t fun. His father had done it to him often, but for now, that was the last of the thoughts of his mind as rubbed at his temples for a moment, “Please don’t say that I am being called anywhere… not in the mood to deal with more of Ren’s shit.”
“There is no need for that kind of formality here, dear Kader.” Revan said, moving to sit beside her son and reached to pull him into her arms, one hand moving to begin absently petting his hair. “And I agree, this could make this very difficult for us.”
“It’s not about formalities.” He muttered out as he leaned into her hands, “Anakin is alive, my Father is who knows where, and your pet is going on a rampage.” There was a pause, “If he finds out the truth about me… about everything..” He ended up trailing off, “I will be on the hit list.”
“Let’s kill Snoke.” Well, it wasn’t like he was joking, but it was easier to state with Bella around than anyone else, “Come on, Bella. We both know about that vacant seat of power that will form after the Supreme Leader is gone. Wouldn’t you want me to be it?”
Rey eyed him curiously, “…You’re Wyndel’s son?” She asked, though she could almost sense it. Maybe she was getting stronger with the Force.
Scavenger. There is was again…the stab that people kept coming at her with. Was that all she would be? No, it couldn’t. She was meant for so much more, she had to be. “I grow more powerful in the Force everyday.” She told him.
“Do you? My father can’t protect you for long. When he realizes that he cannot do what is needed? Well, I am sad to say that you will be replaced, and disposed of. I saw it before —- you just have to watch your step, Scavenger.”
“The answer is no.” He muttered out lightly, “Unlike my father, I don’t need to have a drink each night — I just have to have one every other night, but sadly, tonight is not the night i need one.”
Kader let a deep sigh escape his lips, he didn’t like having to be around his… siblings. More importantly, one that Wyndel seemed to care about more than him, and that -in-itself made him angry, “Not in the mood.” He grumbled out lowly, “Just not in the mood.”
“You know, I have to ask, Tari. We might not ever agree on anything, but I think we both know how dangerous my Father is. I may be many things, but at least I know that he needs to be stopped.”
Anakin gave a small shrug. No, he hadn’t been told. It was hard to wrap his head around the fact that Wyndel would name his child after him, after Vader. A man who hadn’t cared for him in the slightest.
“Really…no one should be finishing what Darth Vader started.” He said. “I saved my son and killed the Emperor. There wasn’t much of a plan after that. I’m still confused as to this goal that has been placed before you all.” He shook his head. “If you want to take Kylo’s place, by all means. Start fighting amongst yourselves. Its what the influence of the Dark Side is great at.” No, he wouldn’t call them Sith. That’s not what they were.
“You saved your son, but threw the Galaxy into chaos.” He stated bluntly, “If anything, it was a mistake on both parts, but I can agree that the Dark Side does have a way of making them fight against each other.”
Kader then smirked for a moment, “Do you know why, Dear old Dad decided against teaching me about the Force until I was old enough to make my own decisions? He knew what would happen, but you know what? Here I am anyways and you? Well, it seems you coming back was unexpected, but he always talkedabout you.”
“No wonder he worked so hard for you to come back… just so he could abandon everything for the so called Chosen one.”
Anakin watched him wearily, but didn’t move away from him. “Perhaps, I know him more than you do.” He offered, shrugging slightly. He knew there could be some truth…but if Wyndel only cared for himself, he wouldn’t have tried so hard to bring him back, would he..?
“Oh, I’d think Kylo would like that very much.” He agreed. “Tell me, how does my grandson hand out rewards?” He asked. “He doesn’t seem like the generous type.”
His head tilted at Anakin, it would be only a matter of time before he said something idiotic, but at least for now? For now, he simply let out a laugh, “No, he doesn’t seem to be, but he is.
“However, you seem to forget something, but has he told you? Has he told you I was named after the infamous Darth Vader?” He asked with an eyebrow lifted, “If anyone should be following in what Vader started? It should be ME and not Kylo Ren…. Xylek made sure of that.”
She closed her eyes for several long moments. “He—-I don’t think he’s a traitor. He’s just—-it’s not his fault he doesn’t want go through something similar to what they did to him during the Empire.”
“What did the Empire do to him?” He asked with an eyebrow lifted, “I know some, but not most.. However, I do know why he has those scars on his arms… the ones he rarely lets anyone see.”
Anakin let out a long breath, shrugging and shaking his head. “It baffles me as well. I thought he stopped caring for me long ago..” When he’d found out the truth about Vader.
“We’re important to each other.” He said, “it doesn’t make sense to either of us, honestly. But, we care deeply for each other.” They were both simply disasters, and it worked.
“Care deeply for each other?” Kader couldn’t help, but snort at that, “I highly doubt that. He doesn’t care for anyone, but himself.” He then made his way towards Anakin, “Trust me on that information. The only person he’s ever cared for has been himself.”
“Maybe you should accept that before he tortures your for weeks or even better yet?” He shook his head for a moment, “No, I think I will let you be his down fall, but then again? I think Kylo would enjoy it if I dragged you to him. I might even get something out of it.”
Anakin watched the other, crossing his arms over his chest. “These are interesting times to say the least.” He told him dully. “To be fair…this isn’t the best time to be a Skywalker. With everyone on the hunt for Luke.” He said. He knew Wyndel had lost himself for a while…it made sense why the other hadn’t talked about him. “And…considering who Vader was, I don’t exactly blame him.”
“Very interesting it seems, but I wonder why you are even here. I could say a few guesses, but honestly? I have no clue why he would risk his neck for someone like you.”
“I think it simply might be due to the fact he’s grasping at straws.” Kader then chuckled lightly, “Tell me… why are you so important to him? The last time he was this secretive he was running off to the outer reaches for some reason… wasn’t heard from for months.”
Rey eyed him curiously, “…You’re Wyndel’s son?” She asked, though she could almost sense it. Maybe she was getting stronger with the Force.
No…she didn’t know everything. But she liked to think she was a fast learner. As he stepped up to her, she didn’t back down. Only looking up at him. “No…he hasn’t told me..” She admitted, but she also hadn’t asked…of the stories he told…that was not one.
“Well, it’s a good thing I wasn’t looking to gain your approval then.” She said flatly.
“Yes, that is good that you don’t want my approval. However, I doubt you would ever find out why, Scavenger. That is what you are…. nothing more and nothing less. I could turn you over to Lord Ren now, but I do like a challenge, and you’re family in a way.”
