“No, I don’t mean that you should leave. Your mother is too fond of you and she’ll send someone after you. No, you can’t just take what you want…but perhaps if you had allies…on both the inside and the outside…“ Vaylin smirked and she leaned slightly closer to her younger stepbrother. “You understand what I mean, don’t you?”
“I do know what you mean. If I got the Knights to side with me as well as others.” He rubbed at his chin for a moment, “We might be onto something… I can get my contacts in the Order to help, but getting the people on my side might be another problem fully.”
Ignoring the insinuation that she wished she could be as free as she was before Revan had showed up out of seemingly nowhere to take the throne as Eternal Empress, a smirk settled onto her face as she moved closer to Kader. “Oh, I know exactly what it’s like to be trapped here with no way out. Perhaps I can help you do something about it…”
“How would you do that?” He asked as an eyebrow was lofted, “I can’t just leave… I can’t just… take whatever I want.” A slight grin spread across his lips, “Tell me what you can do.”
Vaylin shrugged. Not even she knew what she was going to do half the time—-but there was no need to tell him that “It’s not like I care all that much, in all honesty.“
“Please.” He scoffed, “You wish you could do whatever you wished — you know exactly where that lead me. I am trapped here … suffocating to be free and want to know whats worse? I can’t do a thing about it.”
Vaylin smirked, her tone just this side of mocking. “Well, if it isn’t my little stepbrother.”
“I believe the correct term is Heir, but I thought you weren’t allowed around me. Let me guess, you’re just testing the waters? Or are you trying to get yourself bound again?”
“Call yourself whatever you like, you’re still my little stepbrother.” she told him. “And do you really think I’d do something to loose all of the power I now possess? No, I think I will play by the rules.” For now.
Kader couldn’t help, but let a chuckle escape his lips, “I think you miss the simple idea of who I am. I may be your little stepbrother, but I don’t know what you would do. However, I am quite interested in finding out overall.”
