The Knight of Ren wasn’t exactly in a good mood, he might have been trusted by Lord Ren, but that didn’t mean that would keep him out of his fits. Nor, did it actually mean that it would prevent Kader from actually walking in on Kylo’s fits, but it was a risk he had to take from time to time.
Yet, today, it was more that he couldn’t avoid walking into it, and he learned his lesson —- getting force choked wasn’t fun. His father had done it to him often, but for now, that was the last of the thoughts of his mind as rubbed at his temples for a moment, “Please don’t say that I am being called anywhere… not in the mood to deal with more of Ren’s shit.”
“There is no need for that kind of formality here, dear Kader.” Revan said, moving to sit beside her son and reached to pull him into her arms, one hand moving to begin absently petting his hair. “And I agree, this could make this very difficult for us.”
“It’s not about formalities.” He muttered out as he leaned into her hands, “Anakin is alive, my Father is who knows where, and your pet is going on a rampage.” There was a pause, “If he finds out the truth about me… about everything..” He ended up trailing off, “I will be on the hit list.”
“Let’s kill Snoke.” Well, it wasn’t like he was joking, but it was easier to state with Bella around than anyone else, “Come on, Bella. We both know about that vacant seat of power that will form after the Supreme Leader is gone. Wouldn’t you want me to be it?”
Rey eyed him curiously, “…You’re Wyndel’s son?” She asked, though she could almost sense it. Maybe she was getting stronger with the Force.
Scavenger. There is was again…the stab that people kept coming at her with. Was that all she would be? No, it couldn’t. She was meant for so much more, she had to be. “I grow more powerful in the Force everyday.” She told him.
“Do you? My father can’t protect you for long. When he realizes that he cannot do what is needed? Well, I am sad to say that you will be replaced, and disposed of. I saw it before —- you just have to watch your step, Scavenger.”
“The answer is no.” He muttered out lightly, “Unlike my father, I don’t need to have a drink each night — I just have to have one every other night, but sadly, tonight is not the night i need one.”
Kader let a deep sigh escape his lips, he didn’t like having to be around his… siblings. More importantly, one that Wyndel seemed to care about more than him, and that -in-itself made him angry, “Not in the mood.” He grumbled out lowly, “Just not in the mood.”
“Oh, you’re not a usurper are you? Your father and I, as well as quite a number of others on Zakuul and elsewhere, would beg to differ. After all, the definition is of someone who seizes a throne, usually by violence. It doesn’t matter that you were intended to gain it eventually. The fact that you killed us to get it has condemned you in the eyes of many.” Revan replied.
“Condemned me? I am not a usurper, this is my place, and you won’t take it from me, Revan.” He hissed out the name like acid, “I would have eventually obtained it, but for now? No, I don’t think I care for your tone.”
There was a pause, “When you get your bodies back, things my change, but for now? This Empire is mine.”
“No, I don’t mean that you should leave. Your mother is too fond of you and she’ll send someone after you. No, you can’t just take what you want…but perhaps if you had allies…on both the inside and the outside…“ Vaylin smirked and she leaned slightly closer to her younger stepbrother. “You understand what I mean, don’t you?”
“I do know what you mean. If I got the Knights to side with me as well as others.” He rubbed at his chin for a moment, “We might be onto something… I can get my contacts in the Order to help, but getting the people on my side might be another problem fully.”
Revan turned to look at her son, a frown tugging at the corners of her mouth. “Did you say why?” she asked, even as she gestured for him to come closer to her.
“He didn’t say why.” He grumbled out, “All he said is that he was going and with out me.” Kader than rolled his eyes as he moved towards her, “I don’t know why he left… he should have took me.”
Revan didn’t even bat an eye as her son snuggled her, despite the fact that she was in the midst of a particularly difficult negotiations. Instead, her arms wrapped around Kader, one hand moving to gently pet his hair.
A light purr escaped Kader’s lips as he moved to lean into her hand, “I love you mommy.” He muttered out as lightly as possible.
She was told to meet a fellow Sith off the Starkiller, for training purposes. Though she felt she was more than capable, the normally armored woman was not in her armor, as there was no need to hide who or what she was.
As she waited, she mediated, something she frequently did so she would not lose direction in the force. After all, a Sith was not a Sith if they flirted with the light side.
Footsteps brought her back and she opened her eyes, greeting the man who stepped in front of her.
“Greetings, Brother.”
In the long run, everyone had to do their jobs, and as much as Kader hated the very idea of having to meet with someone for training? It seemed that he couldn’t very well ignore the request today. Not that it mattered much, he would have followed the Order no matter what, but he didn’t really have to enjoy it.
A deep sigh escaped his lips as he stood before the other even though his tone had a slight amount of annoyance, “Yes, greetings.”
Kader let out a grunt, he was ‘forced’ to be checked out after the explosion that happened due to his idiotic attempt to rewire his own lightsaber. Yes, it looked like he wasn’t exactly skilled in making them, but at least he was able to get the blasted thing away from him just before it did explode… mostly at least.
“And what exactly is it that you intend to do with me?” It’s not like she could actually resist if someone wanted to user her, but she liked pretending that she could. She glared at the other boy- she only ever joined someone dark because he swore to protect her && she hadn’t really thought about what would happen after they were gone. In fact, she avoided thinking about that at all costs. She always just assumed that she’d be going back into a corner and would be found by another force user eventually, then she’d start over, maybe be good.
The idea of what he might do was quite interesting for the most part; he could have done many things to the other, but he was at least going to try to be half way decent to her. After all, if he was going to obtain her? He had to prove he was at least somewhat kind.
“My father’s time is coming sooner than you think and you? You’re my birthright. A blackcore is very rare these days, but the moment Wyndel is going? You are mine… do remember that.”
It was painful, so very painful, for Revan to listen to Kader’s voice right now. Both it and the Force conveyed just how terrible and scared he felt and it honestly hurt her to see him stuck here as he was. However, she knew there was nothing she could do for him beyond the occasional visits and making sure he was treated well.
Her own eyes closed as she sighed. “I promise, I won’t leave you here for any longer than necessary.” Of course, she knew very well that the length of her son’s stay here wasn’t just up to her. She knew, too, that she’d have her work cut out for her in trying to coax Valkorion to bring their son home.
“Please don’t…. I don’t want to be forgotten here like the rest.” He was actually tearing up at this as he moved to actually snuggle into her for a few moments; he needed to get out of here, but the only way to do that was to keep himself sane.
However, keeping himself together was harder than he originally thought as he forced himself to pull away from her, “Just….I love you.” He managed to get out lowly; he meant it… he really did.
