“Obviously, I don’t seem to care.” A snort escaped his lips, “What I chose to do is not something you should consider, but rather I am doing what I want to do. if you don’t like it? Well, we might have a problem.”

Her head lowered slightly. “Your father is indeed a traitor to the Jedi but I wouldn’t say the same for the Empire and the First Order, though I’m sure he is viewed as such.”

Revan looked up at her son then, a soft smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. “As for me, well…I’m just as surprised as you are that he hasn’t run from me. But he said he wouldn’t, and he’s kept to his word on that at least.”

“He gave oaths of loyality not just to the Empire, but the First Order as well. I know the stories — he betrayed the Empire and he also betrayed the First Order by leaving.”

There was a huff, “I bet he only hasn’t run since he has use for you. A use that I find repulsive, but in truth? You protecting him means nothing to me… I will find him one way or another.”

nervousmando:

“You don’t have to.” Tari muttered. “You could just not bring him in at all, and no care about whatever they say about you. But I realize that’s probably a stupid thing to say, as I’m sure you wouldn’t do that, no matter how much I wish you would.”

“You’re right. I could do nothing, but we both know that deep down I wouldn’t pass up this opportunity. My father is a traitor to the Order and unless I bring him in? I will be labeled as a traitor myself.”

“Isn’t it past your bedtime, brat?” Revan grumbles, though there is genuine affection in her words as she bend to scoop her son into her arms.

A low whimper escaped his lips as he moved to cling to Revan, the young boy didn’t want to go to bed as he shook his head even though he didn’t really want to sleep.

“I wanna stay up!” He managed to get out lowly.

“That’s what I thought.” she told him, continuing to pet his hair and smiling softly when he pressed into her hand. “Perhaps if you do well on your next assessment I’ll take you for a trip to Korriban.”

“I will!” He managed to squeak out before letting out a slight giggle, “I like Korriban. We should go there more often.”

“Oh yes, that is the truth that all come to discover in way or another…”

image

“Obviously.  It took me quite some time to understand that, but in the long run? I think that the truth of the matter is that the Order isn’t as secure as everyone would have us believe.”

“You cannot fathom the immensity of the fuck I don’t give.”

“Oh, trust me, I’m sure I can.” Revan replied, reaching to take hold of her son and tug him so that she could tuck him against her side. Beginning to pet his hair as she had done since he was little she continued, “Both myself and your father are very good at simply got giving a fuck about what other people think.”

Revan laughed again. “What’s a few years to an immortal being? I’ve seen centuries go by, and you?” she shook her head. “You’ve only seen a small fraction of that. And I can assure you, your father never crawls back to me, though I suppose I can see how it would appear to be that way to you.”

She smiled at her son and stepped closer to her, reaching out to gently brush her fingers across his face. “I do know you wish to leave, but it seems I am a selfish mother. You can’t blame me for wanting to keep you safe, can you?”

A low hiss escaped his lips as her fingers touched his flesh, he wanted so badly to just smack her, but knew deep down that it would only make the situation worse as he went into silence.

There was no need for an answer; he knew she was selfish, but as for keeping him safe? No, he wouldn’t let her know the answer to that — there was no need for the moment.

masteroflightanddark:

She laughed again, a smirk twisting across her face. “The throne might be your birthright, but you are still nothing but a child compared to your father and I. And you may have knights, but I’m sure there are still those who are loyal to us—-after all, you are a usurper, child of the Emperor and Empress though you might be.”

“I am not a usurper, Mother.” He hissed out the name in disgust, “I am the Emperor, I will not leave here anytime soon, and in reality? It is your time that is done not my own.” He ran his right hand over his chin for a moment, “However, you do have a point; there are those still loyal to you… they could prove to be problematic.”

masteroflightanddark:

“You must try.” she insisted, eyes narrowing at her son. She knew him, and she had a feeling he wouldn’t actually make an effort to even try to remove the First Order from the Eternal Empire. “And if you can’t do that than assist in helping your father and I regain physical bodies and we will deal the First Order.”

Kader knew himself as well, he wouldn’t remove them, and he would stay on the throne as long as possible — he wanted this all his life, but he also wanted things to be back to normal.

A deep breathe escaped him as he gave a nod, “I will try, but the Eternal Empire is still…” His tone turned slightly more angry as he snapped right at her, “MINE!”

Her eyebrow rose at her son. “You don’t want to learn how to control the Force?” she asked, clearly displeased by even just the thought of it. “Well, if that is the case, I will request that you are no longer consider Heir to the Empire.” Revan was serious too. She wasn’t about to a non-Force-user sit on the Eternal Throne. There was a reason she and Valkorion were so loved by their people, and part of it was because she had to strength and power to back up their claims.

“No!” He managed to get out as he ended up clinging to her even tighter, “I mean, there is no one else, and I mean…” He tried to find the words as he ended up just letting out a deep sigh, “I will do my lessons.”

She tried not to laugh, really she did, but she just couldn’t help it. “Free? You wanted to be free? Oh, sweetheart, I understand that feeling better than you probably think but none of us are free, not even your father and I.”

Revan had to choose her words carefully now. “If it had been up to me, I would have allowed you to explore the galaxy as you like, but unfortunately you just don’t have the luxury.”

“If it had been up to anyone else, I wouldn’t have left, but it’s not — you know exactly why I left.” Kader then snorted, “You have more freedom then I have — if you haven’t noticed? He seems to vanish for years at a time before crawling back to you like some insect.”

A low growl erupted from his throat, “I am not like him nor am I willing to be trapped in this damned Empire any longer than I need to — I want out… you know this.”

“He saw the Order for what it was—-it’s just the Empire again, and he….of course he can’t stand it.” Revan muttered. “Of course he—-” she cut herself off before she could go down that train of thought and sighed. “If you can’t lessen it, than…than it seems like we’ll just keep going as we are and no one will be happy.”

“Of course he… what?” He asked with more of a growl than anything else, “Ran away from it? I know the stories, he was a traitor to the Empire just as he was to the Order, and to the Jedi.”

Kader took a step forward, “He hasn’t changed at all… it’s a wonder he hasn’t ran away from you after all these years.”

He actually flinched, he shouldn’t have insinuated anything of the sort, but steeping back from the other wasn’t exactly something he could do. It would show actual fear. That was something that he couldn’t exactly show right now or ever around Kylo.

“No, I would never question your methods, and I would hope you would remember that.”

image

I thought so - you wouldn’t want to question them either.
You know I don’t like it when things like that happen”

he said before he turned his back to the other.
“Get ready, we will leave soon - and finally be able to find Skywalker-”

That was a close one, the moment Kylo turned his back, a deep breath of relief escaped him, but only in his mind. Obviously, Kader wasn’t prone to asking too many questions, but he couldn’t help thinking that he would end up sliping up one day.

Understood, Lord Ren.”

@kader-ren started following you

“Revan, put that down or so help me, you won’t get wet food for a week,” the Zabrak hissed. The tooka named Revan hissed back from the high shelf, and unceremoniously dropped the carving to fall on the floor. A hand reaches out, and the fragile wooden sculpture starts to float just before it hits the ground, and Roskah sighs.

“You’re still not getting any wet food, do you understand?” A frustrated huff, and they moved to return the small sculpture to its resting place. “Stars above, I don’t know what’s gotten into you. Is this because I don’t give you enough attention?”

The Knight of Ren kept his arms at his sides as he stalked forward, he wasn’t exactly looking for something, but rather he was keeping his mind off what was more than likely going to lead into another fight when he got back to his ship.

Not that it mattered much in the long run, he was going to have to return eventually, but for now everything seemed to be calm or so he hoped. A deep breath escaped his lips as he made his way forward — hopefully, he wasn’t going to enter into a conflict too soon…. he would hate for that to happen.

“Or go off and gossip to someone or another. I agree, it is indeed a shame that one can’t exactly keep secrets among friends anymore…”

image

“Well, I have to agree to that — friends are so hard to come by. Even in the Order or beyond everyone turns out to be a traitor one way or another.”

@masteroflightanddark

“Get as bad as you want, we won’t let you go—-especially if you’re just going to return to the First Order and the Knight of Ren. Your father and I have both voiced our displeasure and distaste  and since you won’t listen we are forced to take drastic measures.”

Revan sighed. “And I’m sure if they had known you were the heir to the Eternal Throne they would have used you from the beginning.” Of course, she thought that was what had happened anyway, but that was besides the point.

“Does it matter? I joined them to forget about everything — Mostly, it was to forget about who I was really, but that…. that is besides the point.”

His eyes locked onto Revan’s own for only a moment before he closed them tightly again, “Maybe if I didn’t leave things wouldn’t have been like this. I could have been great — I could have stayed inside the borders and not known about the Galaxy at large.”

A frown tugged at the corners of Revan’s mouth. “And why, exactly, would you want to forget who you are? As you can see trying to avoid it only created a situation that is probably worse than if you had just been content with your lot in life.”

“You could have been safe.” she replied. “You could have known about the galaxy at large but not wanted to experience it for yourself. Or if you did than allowed yourself to do so by our rules.”

“Why wouldn’t I? I wanted to  be out in the Galaxy — I just needed to be free.” He shook his head for a moment, “It seems I can’t be either way… maybe if things were different? Maybe.”

Kader than sighed, “I never wanted to be safe — I wanted to forget to know there was more to the Galaxy than the Empire.”
